We Learn to Integrate Language and Content

Combining content and language is crucial for multilingual learners because it provides a holistic approach to learning. Integrating content with language instruction not only enhances language skills but also enables MLs to grasp complex concepts more effectively. This approach promotes meaningful engagement with both language and subject matter, facilitating deeper understanding and academic success. In this set of activities, parents can find different activities to help their children develop language skills while also learning about math or science content.

Parents/caregivers: When you click on each grade level, a 5-page pdf document will download. You are free to practice as many activities as you can for 5 weeks. For each week, you will have 7 options to choose from: Daily Care Routines, Homework Routines, Mealtime Routines, Play and Leisure Routines, Outside Routines, Walking/Driving/Bus Routines and Anytime!
