Early Childhood: Birth to Five Learning Modules | Learning Modules

The Early Childhood (EC) Series presents five online self-paced modules that are geared towards early childhood educators, and other related professionals who seek to further their knowledge on how to best support diverse young children (0-5 years) in a variety of settings. In this series, participants will discover evidence-based practices for supporting young children literacy development and language learning with opportunities to reflect on their instructional practices and explore additional ways to incorporate these practices into their EC settings.

M1 Description

This first module explores the foundational knowledge needed to support diverse young learners acquire foundational oral language skills needed to become fluent readers.

2. Oral Language: The How

This second module allows you to expand your knowledge of oral language development and how to implement developmentally appropriate activities that support child outcomes.

M3 Description

This module allows you to expand your understanding of developing phonological processing and how to implement developmentally appropriate activities that support child outcomes. 

M4 Description

This module allows you to expand your knowledge and understanding of print knowledge and apply it.

M5 Description

This module allows you to expand your knowledge of how to teach print knowledge in early literacy education and apply it through reflection and engaging activities!
