Aligned with Each Child Our Future and Each Child Means Each Child, the ALL Ohio literacy efforts offer a plan that supports state, regional, local, and higher-education agencies to collaborate, develop collective efficacy, and improve equitable learning opportunities for Ohio’s students. The ALL Ohio initiatives are designed to close the achievement gaps between students from marginalized groups (e.g., students with disabilities, students who are English learners) and their same-age peers, while accelerating learning for all children. Each ALL Ohio project is aligned with the team-based structures of the Ohio Improvement Process (i.e., teacher-based teams, building leadership teams, district leadership teams) and targets capacity building through the provision of ongoing job-embedded professional learning.
Each ALL Ohio professional learning opportunity is aligned with the science of reading and Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement. Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement outlines Ohio’s framework for promoting literacy-specific outcomes (i.e., reading, writing, and communication) for each child and youth in Ohio from birth through twelfth grade.
